The 12th Toronto Ukrainian Festival (formerly Bloor West Village Ukrainian Festival) will be back on Bloor Street, Sept 12-14, 2008.

Ukrainian Zabava invites you to celebrate a Ukrainian Wedding in a traditional style. All the programming is developed with this theme in mind, beginning with the actual picturesque traditional ceremony on the Sirius Satellite Radio Stage, folk dance groups and contemporary music by Ukrainian rock bands and music that is connected to the wedding theme, ending with an embroidered traditional cloths (Ryshnyky) and costume art exhibition and photo displays and even cooking classes that will catch the spirit of the Ukrainian Canadian culture.

Modern and vintage Ukrainian films will create the atmosphere of complete emersion into the numerous levels of Ukraine-Canadian challenges, joys and grief, as well as historical and contemporary perspectives. A Ukrainian wedding is a wonderful occasion involving important rituals, and is a time of great joy and fun-filled parties!
