Toronto Ukrainian Festival

Доброго дня ! Greetings!

On behalf of the Toronto Ukrainian Festival Committee, I am pleased to invite you to participate in our annual Toronto Ukrainian Festival Parade! Thousands of people come to view the parade every year. By participating in the parade, not only can you showcase and promote your organization among the Ukrainian community, you can also show the larger Canadian community the diversity and beauty of our Ukrainian heritage. Every group, organization, committee, or business that wishes to participate in the parade is welcome to do so.

When: Saturday, September 15th, 2012

Where: Set up will be in High Park. The Parade will move west along Bloor St. W to Jane St. and then proceed north along Jane, ending in the parking lot of St. Pius X school. Parade assembly will be at 10:00 AM with a start time of 11:00 AM inside the north entrance of the park at Bloor and High Park Ave. The duration of the Parade is one hour.

Cost: There is no entry fee!

Awards: Two trophies will be awarded, one for the Best Overall Non-Commercial Entry and one for the Best Overall Commercial Entry.

Parade Marshal: To be announced.

How to make parade entry stand out of the crowd:

Flags or banners identifying, advertising, and promoting your group/organization/business;

Ukrainian costumes, uniforms or festive dress;

Ukrainian music - either amplified tape recorders or live bands;

Handouts - pamphlets, coupons, balloons, buttons, fans, hats- anything that people could keep as a festival memento with your advertisement;

Consider entering a float (no wider than 18 feet) and displaying Ukrainian symbols such as Ukrainian costumes, flags, tryzub or any other symbols of regions or cities of Ukraine.
